Adhesives
AdhesivesSENKO provides a wide range of cyanoacrylate adhesives (commonly referred to as "instant glues") for manufacturing, automotive, electronic and general assembly applications. These adhesive agents vary in viscosity depending on the subtrate, ensuring an immediate and long-lasting bond regardless of the material you are working with.

There are glues available to suit virtually any material or application, including types which are resistant to impact, heat, thermal shock, load stress and chemicals. Glues which accommodate aesthetic requirements are available for the prevention of chlorosis or "blooming". High speed curing glues formulated for automated equipment, as well as slower setting gels for manual assembly, are also available. Wicking types permeate between two tightly mated surfaces, and thixotropic gel types are designed to fill gaps in uneven surfaces. Adhesives made specifically for the bonding of different substrate materials (varying in porosity, surface area, cleanliness, etc.) are also available.

Cyanoacrylate adhesives are easy to apply, utilizing only one environmentally safe and solvent free solution. To choose the adhesive for your particular application, please refer to the table below, or contact a sales representative.

Applications
  • Instantaneous bonding, ideal for automated assembly lines
  • Superior bond strength
  • One ready to use bonding material – no hardening catalyst or other additives necessary
  • Viscosities to suit virtually any application
  • Low viscosity for quick bonds, preassembled or wicking applications
  • Moderate viscosity for slower curing, and to prevent running
  • Transparent adhesives for aesthetic applications
  • Various setting times to suit time sensitive assemblies
  • Ability to bond dissimilar materials and small surface areas
  • Even stress distribution
Laminate Films
Lamanents
People spend an increasing amount of time in cars, trucks and SUVs – it makes sense that they want to choose the color and style of their automobile interior, just as they do in their homes and offices.

SENKO offers a distinctive array of laminate films ideal for the personalized automobile interiors of the future. From popular to exotic wood grains, to metallic and pearlized laminates, our films may be custom designed to add color, pattern and gloss to gear shifts, door handle trims, instrument panels and virtually any molded parts within the auto interior.

Laminates may be heat and pressure molded to essentially become one with the auto component. The molding process and materials used ensure excellent scratch resistance and superior durability, so the original look and feel is sustained over years of wear and tear. Since the gloss finish is incorporated into the molding process, there is no need to apply a final gloss to the finished product – the item is ready for use after molding.

In addition to being compatible with insert molding, these laminates are also suitable for use in Thermoject and Hydrographic (ink dipping) processes, allowing molding companies the maximum range of colors and patterns regardless of the production process they are currently using. SENKO provides technical support to molders who are interested in this product and require assistance with tooling.
