As part of our overall service, we operate Kanban services to many of our existing customers. In effect, we take the commodity management function away from our customers and do it for them.
When we set up a Kanban service with our customer we look at setting the optimum quantity for each part being managed by us, a maximum and minimum quantity is setup for each part. These quantities will be based on the customers build requirements and the frequency of replenished stocks. This therefore reduces the required stock levels on our customer’s site dramatically, reducing factory overhead costs. To save our customers time and money we maintain an extensive inventory of new and refurbished equipment.
Because we manage the inventory, vendors, and IT systems, we can offer our customers the quantity they need, when they need it, for a substantial cost savings.
