SENKO Advanced Components, Inc. now offers two fiber optic solutions for the medical industry. The ST and SC connectors are now available with stainless steel large internal diameter ferrules suitable for medical applications.
The SC connector utilizes a push-pull design that audibly clicks into place for positive engagement. It features UL-Rated housing and boots, a precision anti-rotation key, and a pull-proof design.
The ST connector features a simple push-twist design and bayonette-style housing that ensures precision alignment, easy manipulation, and high performance. The stainless steel ferrules are available in 140um, 220um, and 330um diameters, and accommodate corresponding large diameter fibers.
Senko offers also the SMA connector, a non contact connector typically used in medical applications. The SMA is offered standard with a 127 um ID, and it can be easily customized to accept larger ID fibers.
