Senko's SC Shuttered Adapter family has been designed to meet this growing need. Our new internal Shuttered solutions for Senko's SC adapters provide a cost-effective means of shielding potentially harmful light. This integrated, retractable Shuttered inside the adapter body, is only actuated by inserting the SC connector into the adapter. Contact with the ferrule end face and fiber core is avoided due to the stepped design of the Shuttered, preventing end face damage. This fully automatic design is an alternative to external Shuttered solutions.
