SENKO MPO and LC Uniboot connectors offer a solution to facility managers facing rising challenges in cooling efficiency, energy costs, and space restrictions of their data centers.
Servers are becoming smaller and faster, allowing for dozens to be stacked inside of existing data centers. As every server puts out heat, it is more difficult to keep up with the cooling demands while keeping the system efficient and cost effective. SENKO’s LC Uniboot connectors allow for two connectors to use one cable. This cuts cable density in half and allows more cool air to flow near the servers, where it is the warmest. SENKO’s MPO connector works in a similar way, but with multi-mode ribbon fiber cable that can cut cable density by up to 12x.


LC Uniboot

The SENKO LC Uniboot connector is a unique design that allows a single round duplex 3mm cable to be used for a duplex connector. This compact, easy to terminate connector kit has a simple round crimp design and incorporates standard SENKO 900μm LC connectors, so you will experience the normal optical performance of SENKO’s proven LC design. The LC uses a single cable with two fibers cutting down cable count and weight by half.

MPO Connector

The SENKO MPO connector is a multifiber connection used in high-density backplane and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) applications in data and telecommunications systems. MPO connectors utilize precision molded MT ferrules, with metal guide pins and precise housing dimensions to ensure fiber alignment when mating. The MPO can be mass terminated in combinations of 4, 8, or 12 fiber ribbon cables, providing significant space and cost savings.
