We are seeking a highly experienced CNC Programmer specializing in high-precision 5-axis milling and micro-grinding processes for the fabrication of complex optical surfaces. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Siemens NX CAD/CAM software, and be proficient in programming both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC operations. This role requires a strong understanding of on-machine probing and tool setting using Renishaw touch probes and Renishaw tool setters.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis milling and grinding operations.
- Program tool paths for micro-machining of complex optical geometries using NX CAM.
- Design and validate fixturing and setups in NX CAD for precision machining.
- Implement and manage on-machine probing routines for part alignment and verification.
- Utilize Renishaw tool setters for accurate tool measurement and wear compensation.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure process reliability and repeatability.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and continuously improve cycle times and surface quality.
- Maintain documentation of programs, setups, and process parameters.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of CNC programming experience, with a focus on high-precision applications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Siemens NX CAD and NX CAM.
- Proven experience with 5-axis CNC milling machines, preferably in micro-machining or optics.
- Strong knowledge of Renishaw probing systems and tool setting technologies.
- Familiarity with machining of advanced materials used in optics (e.g., glass, ceramics, metals).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in ultra-precision machining environments preferred
- Background in optics manufacturing or aerospace components preferred
- Knowledge of machine kinematics and post-processing for multi-axis machines preferred

Salary Range:
$80,000 – $90,000 per year
