SENKO and Anritsu to Jointly Demonstrate CPO Network and Test Solution at OFC 2023

MicrosoftTeams-image-2

Hudson, MA 02/28/2023 – SENKO Advanced Components, Inc. (SENKO) will have a collaboration with Anritsu Corporation (Anritsu) to demonstrate a Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) network test set up using the SN-MT connector solution at OFC 2023. SENKO and Anritsu had a similar live demo at OFC 2022. However, this year, the transceiver used will be DR4+ and the transmission will be done using Forward Error Correction (FEC). The demonstration will take place at SENKO’s OFC booth (#2025), will be measuring the performance of 400G DR4+ optics having multiple mated pairs of SN-MT connectors.

SN-MT is a next-generation high density connector multi-fiber connector that is developed by SENKO and announced in 2021. SN-MT carries a maximum of 16-fibers in a single row ferrule contained within a regular SN connector footprint. SN-MT is able to fit 3456 fibers 1U space with its high density. Also, SN-MT has fiber pitch of 200um, which could be utilized to leverage the 200um ultra high-density trunk cable.

The Anritsu Network Master™ Pro MT1040A is a portable B5-size 400G tester and the BERTWave™ MP2110A is an all-in-one solution with built-in 4-channel sampling oscilloscope and BERT. A dual 400 GbE Ethernet BER tester, the MT1040A was selected for its ability to simply conduct Forward Error Correction (FEC) BER measurements. BERTWave is an ideal solution for BER measurements and NRZ/PAM4 eye pattern analyses of 25G/100G/200G/400G/800G optical modules and devices.

“We are thrilled to be working with Anritsu again for the OFC live demo” said Jim Hasegawa, Executive Vice President of SENKO. “We hope to accelerate the adoption of CPO in the industry with this joint demonstration showcasing the capability of Anritsu and SENKO.”
